Kolkata: After the Branch Manager of Punjab National Bank, Salt Lake, CJ Block reported suspicious activities observed through CCTV footage at an ATM undergoing maintenance by the branch, it was discovered that there was a shortage of cash at the said ATM.
Subsequent investigation by SI- Koushik Ghosh of East Police Station revealed that the ATM’s network system had been compromised, allowing perpetrators to fraudulently withdraw cash. A prompt investigation by BDN East Police Station, with technical support from the Detective Department, led to the identification and apprehension of the main suspect, Johny Goyal (40 Years), hailing from Punjab.
