Kolkata, West Bengal: The 4th District-Level Meeting of the Narco Coordination (NCORD), Kolkata, was held in hybrid mode at Conference Room-I, Lalbazar, under the chairmanship of Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, Shri Ajay Nand, IPS. Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Kolkata, Shri Kunal Aggarwal, IPS, served as the Convener.
Senior officers from Kolkata Police and representatives of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Customs, School Education, GST, Excise, Directorate of Drug Control, GRP/RPF, Social Welfare, DRI, Kolkata Port Trust and ANTF, West Bengal, participated in the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the prevailing narcotics situation and emphasised the importance of strong inter-agency coordination, intelligence sharing and coordinated enforcement to combat drug trafficking and substance abuse.
The participating agencies discussed strengthening cooperation and information exchange to support effective action against narcotics-related activities. The meeting also reinforced the importance of coordinated efforts among law-enforcement and government agencies to prevent drug trafficking and address substance abuse.
The NCORD meeting reflects Kolkata Police’s continued commitment to technology-enabled intelligence sharing, coordinated enforcement and collaborative action against the illegal drug trade, while strengthening efforts to promote a safer community.
