Karimganj: In Karimganj, Assam, authorities intercepted a vehicle near the Kayasthagram area in Cachar district and seized heroin worth millions of rupees. Led by Superintendent of Police Partha Protim Das, law enforcement officials discovered 601.83 grams of heroin concealed in a hidden compartment of the car registered as AS 10 G 0379. The vehicle, reportedly coming from Mizoram, was stopped during the operation. The individual behind the trafficking has been apprehended. This significant seizure underscores the substantial scale of the operation and marks a pivotal development in Assam Police’s ongoing endeavors to combat the illicit drug trade in the region.
