Sivagangai: In Sivagangai District, Karaikudi, an event promoting awareness against drug abuse was jointly organized by Bhawai Foundation, Karaikudi Utkota Police, and Karaikudi Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Vidyasala High School to mark International Drug Abolition Day. Dr. R. Annamalai, the school’s Principal, presided over the event, with Mr. N. Gopichandran, Assistant Principal, also in attendance. Special guests including Deputy Superintendent of Police Karaikudi Utkota Mr. R. Prakash, Managing Directors Dr. Kumaresan and Mr. Vivekanandhan from Global Mission, Police Inspector Mr. A. Satishkumar from South Police Station, and Police Inspector Mrs. Mahalakshmi from Karaikudi All Women Police Station, actively participated in raising awareness among students about combating drug addiction. Dr. J. Prakash Manimaran, coordinator of the school’s anti-drug team, delivered the welcome address, while Mrs. Agnes Bidolin, Sivagangai District Program Coordinator of Pawai Foundation, expressed gratitude to all for their efforts in organizing the event.
