Tirunelveli: Dennis Palsingh (29), a resident of North Street, New Muttur near Pampankulam, on the Tirunelveli-Kanyakumari road under the jurisdiction of the Panagudi Police Station, found a 27.300-gram gold thali chain lying in the middle of the road. With the intention of ensuring it was returned to its rightful owner, he brought it to the Panagudi Police Station. Upon learning of the incident, Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police, N. Silambarasan, personally invited Dennis Balsingh, honoring him with a shawl, a certificate of appreciation, and a reward for his honesty and integrity.
