Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli: Every year on October 21st, the ‘ Police Commemoration Day’ is observed as a tribute to the policemen who died in the line of duty in various incidents across India. Accordingly, Police Salute Day was observed on (21.10.2024) at Tirunelveli Municipal Armed Forces Complex. In this, Tirunelveli Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr. P. Murthy, IPS., Municipal Police Commissioner, Rupesh Kumar Meena,IPS., District Superintendent of Police N. Silambarasan, IPS., City Police Deputy Commissioners V. Geetha, (West) G.S. Anitha, (to the head) S. Vijayakumar, (East) District Additional Superintendent of Police Balachandran, District Armed Forces Deputy Superintendent of Police Subramanian, District Armed Police Inspector Pachimuthu and other police officers including police officers to the Police laid wreaths and shot 54 rounds and paid their respects to the policemen who lost their lives.
