Punjab, Bathinda: As part of the ongoing state-wide initiative “Yudh Nashian Virudh” (War against Drugs), the Civil Lines Police Station, Bathinda, conducted a Drug Prevention Seminar at Government Elementary School, Dhobiana Basti, aiming to educate young minds about the dangers of substance abuse.
Led by the Station House Officer, the seminar focused on creating awareness among schoolchildren about the harmful effects of drugs and the importance of making healthy life choices. Officers shared real-life examples, interacted with the students, and emphasized the long-term consequences of drug addiction on health, family, and society.
Students were encouraged to adopt positive habits and be ambassadors of change within their communities. The seminar also highlighted the role of schools, parents, and police in jointly combating the menace of drug abuse.
The Civil Lines Police reiterated their commitment to continuing such awareness programs and community outreach as a proactive measure to protect the youth and foster a drug-free society.
This initiative is part of the Punjab Police’s larger mission to eradicate drug abuse through enforcement, education, and engagement, in alignment with the vision of a safe and healthy Punjab.
