Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu (17.06.2025): In a commendable initiative to ensure the safety and well-being of women and children, the Vilathikulam All Women Police Station, under the direction of Thoothukudi District Superintendent of Police Mr. Albert John, IPS, conducted a comprehensive awareness program today for students and the public.
The awareness campaign was held at Saron Matriculation School and in Tulasipatti village within the jurisdiction of Vilathikulam AWPS. The police sensitized students and residents on key issues related to child and women protection, with a strong emphasis on legal rights, safety measures, and available support systems.

- Prohibition of Child Marriage Act
- Women and Child Helpline numbers: 1091 (Women) and 1098 (Children)

The session aimed to empower young students and the community with the knowledge needed to recognize and report abuse, promote safe practices, and utilize helpline services effectively in emergencies.
