New Delhi, June 27: The Border Security Force (BSF) Headquarters, New Delhi, hosted the First Force-Level Official Language Conference under the chairmanship of Shri Daljit Singh Chaudhary, Director General, BSF. The landmark event marked a significant step toward promoting the effective use of Hindi in official work across the Force.
The objective of the conference was to encourage wider publicity and strengthen the implementation of Hindi in government functions within the BSF. The event was inaugurated following a welcome address by Shri Vijay Thapliyal, Inspector General (Administration), and the keynote address by the Director General, who emphasized the relevance of Hindi in national governance and inspired officers and personnel to enhance its use in day-to-day operations.
Renowned academician Dr. Rama, Principal, Hansraj College, graced the occasion as the guest speaker and delivered an insightful lecture on “Contribution of Official Language Hindi in e-Governance and the Digital India Mission.”
The conference witnessed the participation of senior BSF leadership including Mr. Sanjay Singhal, Special DG (HR), Mr. Ravi Gandhi, ADG (Logistics), Mr. Puneet Rastogi, ADG (Operations), Inspector Generals of all Directorates, officers of the Directorate of Administration, as well as Hindi translators from Force Headquarters, all Frontier Headquarters, and major training institutes.
Serving as a national platform for constructive dialogue and exchange of best practices in Hindi language implementation, the conference is expected to significantly contribute to enhancing awareness and commitment toward the use of Hindi within the BSF.
This pioneering initiative reflects BSF’s strong dedication to preserving linguistic heritage while aligning with national goals such as e-Governance and the Digital India Mission.
