Hyderabad, Telangana, July 7: In a significant breakthrough, the Golconda Police (Tolichowki Division) apprehended a notorious repeat offender involved in a recent burglary at Naya Qila, Hyderabad. The swift and effective response led to the recovery of stolen property and the seizure of suspected burglary tools.
On July 6, 2025, a complaint was received from Mrs. Ameer Khatoon of Naya Qila, reporting a night-time break-in that occurred between June 29 and 30. The intruder reportedly stole ₹70,000 in cash, a gold ring, and gold earrings, amounting to a total loss of ₹80,000.
Acting promptly on credible leads, the Golconda Police apprehended the suspect the very next day—on July 7—at Jamali Darwaza. He was caught in possession of ₹70,000 cash, a mobile phone, and tools believed to have been used in the crime, including an iron rod, gloves, and a black mask.
The accused was identified as Mohammed Mujahid Qureshi alias Javeed, Age: 31 year, Occupation: Tin Shed Worker, and Residence: Kattelmandi, Abids, Hyderabad.
The Police seized ₹70,000 in cash, Mobile phone, 44.5 cm iron rod, Black-and-white gloves, and Black face mask.
Criminal Background:
The accused is a habitual offender with a history of serious criminal cases:
- Golconda Police Station: 2 cases (including the current one)
- Saifabad Police Station: 1 robbery case (Cr. No. 258/2026)
- Moghulpura Police Station: 2 burglary cases registered in 2018
- Shivaji Nagar, Maharashtra: Linked to a murder case in 2019 (details awaited)
