Imphal West, Manipur, 06 August 2025: In a significant operation, security forces arrested an active member of the proscribed outfit KCP (PWG) from his residence in Yurembam Awang Leikai under Patsoi Police Station, Imphal West district.
The arrested individual, identified as Leiphrakpam Herojit Meetei (41), was reportedly involved in extorting money from the general public to raise party funds for the banned organization.
During the operation, the team recovered one mobile phone and an AADHAAR card from his possession. The arrest marks a crucial step in the ongoing efforts to curb insurgent activities and ensure the safety and security of the region.
The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and stability and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
