Hyderabad, Telangana: In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), in coordination with Domalguda Police, carried out a successful joint operation on 19.08.2025. Acting on credible intelligence, the team apprehended an interstate drug supplier and a local peddler, thereby curbing a key supply chain.
Police seized 12.57 grams of MDMA, 305 grams of Ganja, a Nissan Magnite car, three mobile phones, cash ₹1,080, and packing material — all valued at ₹7.3 lakhs.
The arrested individuals were identified as Nikhil (19), a student from Bangalore, who sourced MDMA from Nigerian suppliers using the “dead drop” method, and Raghavendra Rao (27) of Vijayawada, a repeat offender with multiple NDPS cases, who distributed the drugs in Hyderabad.
The Hyderabad City Police reaffirmed its strong stance against narcotics, urging parents to closely monitor their children and appealing to citizens to provide information on drug-related activities to H-NEW helpline: 8712661601. Police assured that strict action will be taken against all drug offenders, highlighting their commitment to keeping the city safe and drug-free.
