Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu: In view of the Soorasamhara event of the Kandashashti festival scheduled to take place at the Arulmigu Subramania Swamy Temple, Tiruchendur, on October 27, 2025, Dr. Sandeep Mittal, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (Cyber Crime Division), conducted an extensive inspection of the security arrangements on October 26, 2025.
During his visit, Dr. Mittal reviewed the temple complex, beach area—the main venue of the Soorasamhara event—surrounding localities, and CCTV camera monitoring systems, assessing the preparedness of the police personnel deployed on the ground.
He issued necessary instructions to ensure smooth conduct of the festival, emphasizing crowd management, safety measures, and effective coordination among all units.
Thoothukudi District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Albert John, IPS, and Tiruchendur Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Mahesh Kumar, accompanied the ADGP during the inspection, along with other senior officers and police personnel.
Comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the safety of devotees and the peaceful conduct of the grand religious event.
