Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: The Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police has announced the auction of confiscated and unclaimed vehicles seized by the district police. As per the notification, a total of 151 vehicles currently parked at Palayamkottai and Munnirpallam police stations will be auctioned at the Munnirpallam Police Station on December 29, while 157 vehicles parked at the Ambasamudram Police Station will be auctioned at the same location on December 30.
Interested participants are required to register in advance by paying a deposit of ₹5,000 at the Tirunelveli District Armed Reserve Police Office between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm on December 28. Only registered bidders will be permitted to take part in the auction process.
Authorities have informed that successful bidders must pay the entire bid amount along with applicable GST at 18 percent in cash to take possession of the vehicle. The initiative reflects the Tirunelveli Police’s efforts to systematically dispose of unclaimed seized property in a transparent and organized manner.
