Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu: In a commendable initiative to promote the health and well-being of police personnel and their families, a newly established gymnasium was inaugurated at the Thoothukudi Armed Reserve Police residential complex on December 31, 2025.
The facility, set up as per the directions of the Thoothukudi District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Albert John, IPS, will benefit over 500 police personnel and their families residing in the complex. The gymnasium was formally inaugurated by SP Mr. Albert John, IPS, by lighting the traditional lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, the initiative was appreciated as a significant step towards encouraging physical fitness, stress management, and overall wellness among police personnel.
The event was attended by Thoothukudi City Sub-Division Assistant Superintendent of Police Dr. C. Madhan, IPS, Armed Reserve Police Inspector Mr. Sunaimurugan, and other police officers and personnel.
This initiative reflects the police department’s continued commitment to enhancing the quality of life and morale of its personnel through supportive infrastructure and welfare-oriented measures.
