Bathinda, Punjab: To promote traffic discipline and reduce road accidents, the Bathinda Police organized a Road Safety Awareness seminar in the district, which was visited by SSP Bathinda. The seminar was conducted by DSP Traffic and DSP (NDPS) with the participation of members of the public, vehicle users, and traffic personnel.
During the event, citizens were educated on the importance of following traffic rules, adopting safe driving practices, and preventing road accidents. Safety-related demonstrations and guidance sessions were also held to enhance awareness, particularly among two-wheeler riders and commercial drivers.
As part of the drive, Bathinda Police distributed several road safety materials with public welfare in mind, including:
* Reflectors for vehicles
* Reflector torches for traffic personnel
* First aid kits for drivers
* Helmets for two-wheeler riders
* Pamphlets on traffic awareness
* Reflective jackets for rickshaw and cycle riders
Bathinda Police reiterated that protecting public life on the roads remains a top priority. The department emphasized that efforts to strengthen traffic discipline and safeguard motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians will continue throughout the district.
