On the occasion of Republic Day 2026, police officers and personnel to be honoured with the prestigious President’s Medal for Distinguished Service and President’s Medal for Meritorious Service in recognition of their exemplary dedication, professionalism, and outstanding service to the nation.
The President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, one of the highest honours in policing, will be conferred upon Shri Imdadul Hussain Bora, IPS, Inspector General of Police, in recognition of his exceptional leadership, sustained commitment, and significant contributions to strengthening law enforcement and public safety.
The President’s Medal for Meritorious Service will be awarded to the following officers and personnel for their commendable service, integrity, and devotion to duty:
