Hyderabad, Telangana: In a major breakthrough against property crimes, the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (Charminar Zone) in coordination with Keesara Police Station successfully arrested three habitual house burglars and one receiver of stolen property, recovering valuables worth approximately ₹13 lakh.
The arrested accused have been identified as Munithani Amar Raj Kumar Reddy (28), a habitual offender with 88 previous property-related cases, along with his associates Abdul Lateef Khan (32) and Gulam Hussain Khan (32). Police also arrested Gopalapuram Praneeth Chary (24), a goldsmith who allegedly purchased the stolen property.
According to police, after securing bail in January 2026, Amar Raj Kumar Reddy formed a gang with the two associates and resumed committing night house burglaries and two-wheeler thefts in areas under the limits of Uppal Police Station and Keesara Police Station of the Malkajgiri Commissionerate.
Acting on credible information and through technical investigation, the Task Force and Keesara Police apprehended the accused. During interrogation, the accused confessed to selling stolen gold and silver ornaments to the goldsmith, leading to the recovery of the stolen property.
Police recovered 65 grams of gold ornaments, 400 grams of silver ornaments, three two-wheelers (Pulsar NS 200, CB Twister and Suzuki Burgman), and seven mobile phones, with the total value estimated at ₹13 lakh.
Additionally, police executed four long-pending Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs) against the main accused. All the arrested individuals have been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody. The swift action of the police has been widely appreciated for curbing burglary and theft activities in the region.
