Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu: In view of the upcoming Assembly elections, a security flag march was conducted on March 14, 2026 in Kadayanallur to ensure public safety and instill confidence among voters.
The march was organized under the directions of G. S. Madhavan, T.P.S., Superintendent of Police of Tenkasi District. The procession covered a distance of about 5 kilometers, starting from the Kadayanallur Tahsildar Office and concluding near Kings Universe School in Kumandapuram.
The event was led by Additional Superintendents of Police Shankar (Headquarters) and Julius Caesar (Cyber Crime). The march witnessed participation from Deputy Superintendent of Police Murugesan of the Prohibition Enforcement Wing, along with five Police Inspectors, two Sub-Inspectors, 32 personnel from Central Security Forces, 35 Police Constables, 10 Armed Reserve Constables, and 25 personnel from the Tamil Nadu Special Police.
Police officials stated that the flag march was conducted to strengthen security arrangements and reassure the public that they can exercise their voting rights freely and without fear during the election period.
