Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu: Dr. R. Thirunavukkarasu, IPS, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Tirunelveli Range, inspected the security arrangements for the upcoming Aadi Thapasu festival in Sankarankovil, Tenkasi district. He issued orders to deploy traffic police to ensure the smooth movement of passing vehicles without congestion and to facilitate the safe movement of the public. He also directed the installation of barricades for crowd control, the setup of additional surveillance cameras, the deployment of plainclothes officers for monitoring, and the use of public address systems to continuously raise awareness about theft prevention. It is reported that over 600 police personnel will be engaged in security duties. Tenkasi District Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar and other senior police officials accompanied him during the inspection.
