Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: In a compassionate gesture, Sekhar Deshmukh Sanjay, Commissioner of the Tirunelveli City Police, handed over an insurance cheque of ₹15 lakh to the family of late police personnel Sundararaj, who passed away while on duty on December 7, 2025.
The financial assistance, provided under the welfare scheme for police families, aims to support the bereaved family during difficult times and recognize the dedicated service rendered by the deceased officer.
The event was attended by Vinod Santharam, along with bank officials, who were present during the cheque handover.
This gesture reflects the department’s commitment to the welfare and support of police personnel and their families, honoring their service and sacrifice.
