Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: Emotional final tributes were paid to Sub-Inspector P. Velpandian (30) of Murappanadu Police Station, who passed away while undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in a road accident.
Senior police officials, including DIG P. Saravanan, IPS, SP Tirunelveli Dr. V. Prasanna Kumar, IPS, SP Thoothukudi Dr. C. Madan, IPS, and other officers paid homage to the deceased officer.
The mortal remains were accorded full police honors, including a ceremonial parade and a 24-gun salute, recognizing his dedicated service to the department and society.
The police fraternity expressed deep condolences and stood in solidarity with the bereaved family during the solemn farewell.
