Udupi, Karnataka: Personnel of Shirva Police Station successfully traced and returned two lost mobile phones using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal after completing the necessary legal procedures.
Following complaints lodged by members of the public regarding the loss of their mobile phones, Station Officer Manjunath Marabada and the police staff carried out a technical investigation and traced the devices being used in different areas.
The recovered mobile phones were handed over to their rightful owners by ASI Sridhar and ASI Suresh of Shirva Police Station. Police stated that public cooperation also played an important role in the successful recovery operation.
The beneficiaries appreciated the efforts of the Shirva Police, while officials appealed to citizens to immediately report lost mobile phones at the nearest police station and register the details on the CEIR portal for faster tracing and recovery.
