Udupi, Karnataka: Udupi Police have taken strong action against a habitual offender by arresting rowdy-sheeter Ganesh of Manipal under the Goonda Act. Acting on the report of the Superintendent of Police, the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Udupi ordered his detention. Several criminal cases, including attempt to murder, assault, unlawful assembly, crimes against women, and theft, had been registered against him. Following the detention order, the accused has been lodged in Central Jail, Kalaburagi, reinforcing police efforts to maintain law and order and ensure public safety.
