Udupi, Karnataka: In a commendable act of public service, the 112 Emergency Response Team promptly assisted a woman found sitting alone for a long time at a bus stop on Jodu Road in Kukkundur village.
After receiving a call from a concerned citizen around 7 p.m., the 112 staff immediately reached the spot and spoke with the woman, who stated that she had arrived from Malvan, Mumbai, and appeared to be mentally distressed. The team promptly informed the PSI of Karkala Nagar Police Station and, following his instructions, ensured her safety by shifting her to the Suraksha Ashram in Jarigudde, Karkala.
The swift response and compassionate intervention by the police helped provide care and protection to a vulnerable individual in need.
