Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu: District Superintendent of Police S. Ashok Kumar inaugurated the ‘Singapenn’ (Lioness) Special Task Force in Tenkasi district. Acting under the Superintendent’s orders, this special task force is actively engaged in preventing crimes against women and children, ensuring women can move about in public spaces without fear or threat, and providing immediate assistance during emergencies. Additionally, continuous awareness campaigns regarding crime prevention are being conducted in areas where women frequently gather, such as schools, colleges, temples, and bus terminals.
