Based on the victim’s complaint, Kollipara Police Station registered Crime No. 68/2026 under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Acting on the directions of Tenali Rural Circle Inspector S.K. Nayab Rasool, SI N.C. Prasad formed a special investigation team comprising police personnel and a Home Guard to trace the offender.

Using CCTV footage and modern investigative techniques, the team identified the accused as Pagadam Umashankar Reddy, a resident of Rambotlavari Palem village in Bapatla district. Acting on credible information, the police arrested him on June 20, 2026, near the Anjaneya Swamy statue at Vallabhapuram village flood bank.

During the operation, police recovered two stolen gold rings valued at approximately ₹2.40 lakh, bringing significant relief to the victim. The accused was subsequently produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

Appreciating the prompt and professional work of the investigation team, Tenali DSP B. Janardhan Rao commended Tenali Rural CI S.K. Nayab Rasool, Kollipara SI N.C. Prasad, and the police personnel involved for solving the case and recovering the stolen property within just 48 hours.

The DSP also urged residents of Kollipara Mandal to install CCTV cameras in their homes and at key locations in villages, emphasizing that continuous surveillance plays a crucial role in preventing crime and assisting police investigations.

The successful detection of the case highlights the efficiency of Kollipara Police and their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens through prompt action and the effective use of technology.
