South Andaman, Andaman and Nicobar: In a heartwarming celebration of youth achievement and sporting excellence, Mr. Ravindra Yadav IPS DGP Andaman and Nicobar Islands felicitated the young Pencak Silat athletes of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for their outstanding performance at the 14th National Pencak Silat Championship–2026.
The talented athletes brought immense pride to the Islands by winning an impressive 19 medals, including 3 gold, 4 silver, and 12 bronze medals, showcasing their exceptional skill, determination, and competitive spirit at the national level.
During the felicitation ceremony, the DGP congratulated the medal winners and praised their unwavering dedication, discipline, and perseverance. He highlighted that sustained hard work, commitment, and regular practice are the true foundations of sporting excellence and encouraged children to take up martial arts from an early age to develop confidence, self-discipline, physical fitness, and mental resilience.
Reaffirming the Andaman and Nicobar Police’s commitment to youth empowerment, the DGP assured continued support for sports development and initiatives that nurture emerging talent.
