The Odisha POlice said on Wednesday that enquiry is going on for the alleged gangster having links with the state govrnment officials and allotment guidelines were violated when two petrol pumps were discovered to be in his wife's name. On the charges of tender fixing, Syed Usman Ali alias Tito of Kendrapara, who was arrested in June was produced in a local court. While the BJP has alleged that Ali had links with the senior BJD leaders, the ruling party, BJD are seeking for CBI probe. The Odisha Police Special Task Force have taken into custody many of Tito's associates accross the state by raiding the sites assumed to be run by him. The probe revealed that two retail outlets of Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) were registered under the name of Tito's wife in Kendrapara and Paradip through violation of allotment guidelines. In a press release last week, the IOCL said that the matter of the retal outlets commissioned in the violation of guidelines has beeen referred to the CBI.
