<![CDATA[NOIDA: A complaint was filed by a minor girl at the Noida Phase-3 police station stating that her 40-year-old father had been raping her for a few years. Based on the complaint the police arrested the accused from his house. The complaint stated that the father had been sexually assaulting his 16-year-old daughter for the past few years. He also used to flog her whenever she resisted. On Wednesday evening, the girl managed to muster courage and reached Noida Phase-3 police station and narrated her ordeal. The Station House Officer Mr. Akhilesh Trpathi belonging to Noida Phase-3 police station said that the accused hails from Bihar. He lives in a rented house in Chhajarsi village. He is a daily-wage worker and a drug addict. The victim has claimed that she has been raped by her father for years. She also alleged that he did not allow her to go to school. The victim is the only girl in the family and has two younger brothers. Her mother works as domestic help in the area. Mr. Tripathi said that based on the victim’s claims and the complaint lodged by her, we have booked the accused under IPC Section 376 [rape] and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act. He was arrested and produced in court on Thursday. He has been sent to judicial custody. The girl has been sent for medical examination and that further investigation in the matter is on.]]>
