Bhopal: Jehangirabad police are investigating into a case that has been filed upon a shooting incident. A man who was 30 was shot at by an unidentified person near Neelam Park late in the night on Tuesday. The victim Zuber belonging to Ahir Mohalla near Neelam Park was shot when he was accompanying his friend Azeem to drop him at Karon, the Police said. According to the police, Zuber was injured and he was rushed to a nearby hospital and his condition is stable. When the victim was enquired he was unable to provide detail of the accused. Initially, he felt pain and when he began to bleed he realized that he has been shot in his shoulder. A case has been registered by the police under sections 307 and 34 of the IPC. The victim was taken to LBS hospital where he was initially treated and later shifted to Chirayu hospital. When the police did the initial investigation into the case they came to know that the victim got hit by the shooter due to mistaken identity as he does not have any previous or present enmity and has no criminal record. Further investigation has been initiated by the police. In yet another incident, the Chhola Mandir police have filed a case against a notorious criminal for opening fire in the air at Deepa Nagar on Tuesday. The accused Gufran threatened the victim Nishat and her husband Raja as he fired in the air and cane to know the whereabouts of his wife, the police said. Gufran had married Nishat’s younger sister Aarti who left him and went to her parents in Bina. Gufran found out the whereabouts of Aarti. The police have registered a case under sections 307 and 506 of the IPC and have initiated a search operation to nab the accused. ]]>
