Andhra Pradesh: Acknowledging the challenges in road safety, AP Police has initiated a month-long campaign across the state from January 20th to February 19th, encompassing various awareness programs. These initiatives include unveiling brochures and posters for road safety month, organizing rallies to educate citizens on traffic rules and responsible driving. Sessions also cover awareness about the provisions of compensation under the Hit and Run Motor Accident Scheme 2022 for seriously injured individuals. Special emphasis is placed on wearing helmets, seat belts, and assisting victims in road crashes. Participants in these programs include police personnel, transport department officers, drivers, conductors, driving school owners and staff, as well as the general public.
