Karnataka, Bengaluru City: Bengaluru City Police, in partnership with Durga Foundation and NLSIU, conducted the Safe City Training Programme’s Active Bystanders Initiative on November 26, 2024. The event, held in Shankarapura and Rajajinagar, engaged 55 participants through interactive sessions and role-playing activities focused on empowering bystanders to intervene in sexual harassment cases.
The initiative aims to enhance community awareness and response mechanisms, contributing to the broader goal of creating a safer urban environment in Bengaluru. By training citizens to recognize and actively respond to harassment, the program seeks to promote collective responsibility for public safety.
