Kottayam: The Gandhinagar police have nabbed the main accused in a case of abduction of youth from Vellore Irumpayam near Kottayam Medical College on the night of 3.03.2021. The other accused who were with him ran away and hid. Gandhinagar police arrested Vineeth, 24, of Puthenparambil in the Thiruvalla Eraviperur Kavummuri area, as the mastermind of the incident. Gandhinagar police said that there are cases against him in police stations like Koippuram and Thiruvalla.
The accused attacked the police at Thiruvalla police station Gandhinagar SHO Mr. Suresh V Nair, SI Mr. Maraya Sajimon TK, Mr. Saji MP, ASI The accused was arrested by a team comprising Mr. Manoj, senior CPO Mr. Shaiju Kuruvila, and CPOs Mr. Rajesh, Mr. Aneesh, and Mr. Pravin. The Police of Pathanamthitta and Kottayam districts have intensified investigations for the other accused.
