Chennai: The Periyamedu police have received a complaint from a businessman dealing with leather products that he has been stolen of cash of Rs.20 Lakh from an unidentified person. The victim Mr. Istaq Ahamed, 47 runs a shop in which he sells leather products and his shop is located on the Vepery High Road. The accused approached the businessman promising him that he will supply the laptop bags that Istaq was in need of procuring in bulk. As the attention of the leather businessman was shifted the accused took the opportunity to commit the crime and robbed him of the 20 Lakh cash. The Periyamedu Police who received the complaint from the victim Mr. Istaq Ahamed has launched a manhunt to apprehend the accused who is at present at large. ]]>
