Security forces meticulously carried out search operations and exercised control in the peripheral and vulnerable regions of Thoubal, Kakching, Imphal West, Tengnoupal, and Bishnupur districts in Manipur. These initiatives aimed to establish a robust security presence and dominance in areas susceptible to unrest or security challenges.
To facilitate the essential movement of goods, a well-coordinated effort ensured the safe transit of 350 vehicles along NH-37 and 424 vehicles along NH-2, each laden with crucial items. The commitment to securing these transportation routes was evident through stringent security measures implemented in all vulnerable zones. Security convoys were strategically deployed in sensitive stretches to guarantee the unhindered and secure passage of vehicles, mitigating potential risks.
In a comprehensive approach, a total of 142 checkpoints, commonly referred to as Nakas, were strategically positioned across diverse districts of Manipur, encompassing both the hilly and valley regions. This widespread presence was instrumental in monitoring and regulating movement while acting as a deterrent against any untoward incidents.
The proactive stance of law enforcement was further demonstrated as 245 individuals were apprehended in connection with various violations across different districts of the state. This enforcement not only underscored the commitment to maintaining order but also served as a deterrent to potential disruptors, contributing to an enhanced sense of security within the region.
