MUMBAI: A missing bag of explosives was a big cause of worry for Railway officials. The issue is about a bag containing gelatin sticks and detonators that went missing which was carried by gang man Ramjit Yadav and his colleague. They filed a complaint with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Wednesday evening. The two claimed in the complaint that they dropped the bag while travelling on a train. The complaint said that Yadav had dropped the bag, which contained gelatin sticks and denonators, from the moving train when he was hit by a man standing on an Overhead Equipment pole along the tracks, railway official said. The incident occurred between Kurla and Dadar. The complaint was forwarded to the Dadar Railway Police Force (RPF) after acquiring details of the incident from the two gang men. The Dadar RPF summoned them and the two informed the staff that the bag had gone missing when they were working on the tracks between Dadar and Kurla. They said they suspected it to be the handiwork of a few junkies. The bag could not be found in spite of a thorough search in the area by the RPF. The two gang men were later sent back to get an official complaint from the track maintenance department. Gang men use detonators and gelatin sticks to warn train drivers, in the event of a mishap. Mr. Ravinder Goel, Divisional Railway Manager, Central Railway said,. “In the preliminary information the bag contains detonators among other things. We are trying to ascertain the exact nature of events”, he said. ]]>
