Dindigul: In Dindigul, near Morpatti Division, Inspector Senthil Kumar from North Madurai Police Station, accompanied by sub-inspector Siddique and constables, conducted a vehicle search operation. During the search, a speeding car was intercepted and inspected, revealing cannabis being smuggled inside. Subsequently, the police apprehended four individuals—Mohammad Meeran, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Abdullah, and Sheikh Abdullah—who were found smuggling ganja in the vehicle. Additionally, the authorities seized the car used for smuggling along with 1.1/2 kg of ganja. A case has been registered by the police, who are currently conducting further investigations. It’s worth noting that these individuals are implicated in the murder case of DMK leader Pattara Saravanan in Dindigul.
