Karnataka, Bengaluru: Hanumanth Nagar Police have arrested two individuals for participating in online cricket betting during the recent IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The accused were found gambling on the “Dafabet” website.
During the operation, police seized ₹4,100 in cash and a mobile phone used for placing bets. The investigation into the case is currently underway to identify any further connections or networks involved.
Authorities have once again urged citizens to avoid engaging in or promoting illegal betting activities. Any suspicious gambling-related incidents should be reported immediately to the nearest police station or by dialing emergency helpline 112.
