Hyderabad City, Telangna: In a major success against drug trafficking, the Attapur Police Station and the Rajendranagar SOT Team conducted a joint operation that led to the arrest of key suspects involved in ganja distribution and the seizure of a significant quantity of narcotics and related equipment.
During the operation, police seized 8.410 kg of dry ganja, a two-wheeler, three weighing machines, a poly sealing machine, packing covers, and mobile phones used in the illegal trade. The investigation revealed that the main accused had procured the ganja from Nagpur, Maharashtra, transported it to Hyderabad, and distributed it in small packets through a sub-peddler. Police also identified other suspects who had arrived to purchase the contraband.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Rajendranagar Zone DCP Sri S. Srinivas, IPS, with the guidance of Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sri V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, Rajendranagar ACP Sri T. Srinivas, and the leadership of Attapur Inspector Sri A. Sitayya.
The arrested accused have been remanded to judicial custody, while efforts are continuing to trace and arrest the absconding suspect. Senior police officers congratulated the team for their professional investigation and decisive action, reaffirming the Hyderabad Police’s commitment to dismantling drug networks and ensuring a safer, drug-free city.
