Chandigarh: The Harayana Police had initiated a crackdown on liquor smuggling. As they were conducting the checking, the police personal seized a large number of illicit foreign liquor from the possession of an accused and arrested the person from Sirsa district.
A spokesperson for the Police said on Monday that a team of CIA Dabwali Police has seized 1450 cartons of illicit foreign liquor from the Maujgarh village area as they were conducting a checking. The arrested accused was identified as Sahi Ram who is a resident of the Pali district of Rajasthan. He was produced in the court and later sent to judicial custody. Further investigation is underway.
