Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: Tirunelveli City Police received information that individuals were standing near the Gurunathan Kovil junction, brandishing sickles and intimidating the public. Acting on this tip-off, the police arrived at the scene and apprehended three individuals carrying sickles. They were identified as Saravanan (19) and Mohamed Sultan Thowfeeq (20) from Tirunelveli City, and John Rexon (19) from Abishekapatti. During questioning, they stated that they felt threatened and were carrying the sickles to project an image of being ‘rowdies’ (tough guys). Consequently, the police seized the sickles, registered a case, and arrested all three individuals.
