Palakkad: In accordance with the directive from Honorable Thrissur Range Deputy Inspector General of Police, Smt. S. Ajeeta Begum IPS, Mr. R. Anand IPS, the Police Chief of Palakkad District, has recommended the enforcement of the Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act against Kannan, a 22-year-old resident of Palakkad Kasaba Police Station. Kannan, who is the son of Murukesan and resides at Kaithoni Veedu, Vazhakode, Elapulli, Palakkad, Palakkad District, has been subjected to deportation. As per the provisions of Kappa Act 15(i)(a), a ban on entry into Palakkad revenue district has been imposed for a period of six months.
Non-compliance with this order can result in a potential imprisonment of up to three years. The Kasaba Police Inspector, Rajeev NS, acting on behalf of the District Police Chief, has filed charges against Kappa for various offenses including obstruction, inflicting bodily harm, using dangerous weapons, attempted murder, trespassing, causing damage, and issuing threats. In March 2023, Kappa was accused of causing bodily harm in a case registered at a location known as Thenari, under the jurisdiction of Kasaba Police Station.
