Thrissur Rural: The investigation into the complaint received at the station regarding a necklace worth 1.5 Pawan, lost while traveling from Matilakam to Iringalakuda by scooter, was concluded successfully. A month ago, a woman named Haritha Shine had reported to the police that she lost a necklace worth 1.5 pav on her way home. Despite an initial investigation, no information about the necklace was found.
A month later, Abdur Rahiman, a resident of Pullut, found a necklace in front of the Papivattam Co-operative Bank and immediately handed it over to the police station. Although the necklace was kept at the station and advertised in WhatsApp groups, no one claimed it. The police continued their investigation. Upon re-examining old complaints, they noticed the weight of the found necklace matched the weight mentioned in Haritha Shine’s lost necklace complaint. A closer examination revealed an emblem on the hook identifying the jeweler who made it. The police contacted the jeweler and obtained information about the purchaser, Haritha Shine.
The complainant was then asked to provide evidence, including the bill and a photograph of the necklace. After Haritha Shine submitted the necessary evidence, the necklace was handed over to her by Abdur Rahiman in the presence of ASI Satish Kumar, Station Writer GSCP Thomas, and the investigating officer GSCP.
