Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Demonstrating a zero-tolerance approach towards crime, Lucknow Police have achieved a major breakthrough by arresting four accused involved in a highway robbery and recovering ₹4.15 lakh in stolen cash from their possession.
The robbery took place on June 11, 2026, on the Lucknow–Sitapur Highway near Kisan Path in the jurisdiction of Bakshi Ka Talab. According to police, the accused intercepted the victim’s vehicle by overtaking it and allegedly opened fire using firearms before robbing the occupants of approximately ₹5 lakh.
Following the incident, Lucknow Police launched an intensive investigation, collecting evidence and tracking the movements of the offenders. Through sustained efforts and coordinated action, police succeeded in apprehending four more accused connected with the robbery and recovered ₹4.15 lakh from them.
Police further stated that three other accused involved in the same robbery had already been arrested earlier and remanded to judicial custody. With the latest arrests, the investigation has made significant progress in bringing all those responsible to justice.
