Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Acting under the directions of the Lucknow Commissioner of Police, the ACP Vibhuti Khand and the Chinhat Police carried out a detailed inspection of the Kamta–Matiyari Kanwar Yatra route to ensure the safe, peaceful, and well-organized movement of pilgrims.
During the inspection, officers reviewed security arrangements, traffic management, and public convenience measures. Necessary instructions were issued regarding the regulation of non-vegetarian shops, liquor vends, and the removal of vehicles parked in no-parking zones to maintain the sanctity of the pilgrimage route and ensure smooth traffic flow.
The proactive inspection reflects the Lucknow Police’s commitment to effective crowd management, public safety, and seamless coordination during major religious events. Through timely planning and preventive measures, the police continue to ensure that devotees can undertake the Kanwar Yatra in a secure, orderly, and peaceful environment.
