Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: A monthly review meeting for police officers, chaired by Tirunelveli District Superintendent of Police Dr. V. Prasannakumar, IPS, was held on June 9, 2026, at the District Police Office. Discussions covered the investigation of all cases in the district, the status of pending cases, and the implementation of strict measures against individuals involved in the smuggling and sale of contraband such as ganja and tobacco products. Earlier, the Superintendent of Police inspected police vehicles to ensure they were being properly maintained, issued key instructions to the drivers, and inquired about the condition and any issues regarding the vehicles. Subsequently, he commended 66 personnel who had performed exceptionally well in the district by presenting them with certificates of appreciation and rewards. District Additional Superintendents of Police, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Public Prosecutors, Police Inspectors, and Sub-Inspectors participated in the meeting.
