Indore: The Chief Minister congratulated the personal of the police department for exhibiting sincerity in their duty on Thursday after they arrested Akash Vijayvargiya for assaulting a Municipal Corporation officer with a cricket bat. He is the son of senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya. The CM said I congratulate the police for taking prompt action. He added saying that stringent action should be taken against him and the Law is same for everybody. When the case of Akash came to court earlier on Thursday, an Indore court denied permission to hear Akash’s bail plea and transferred the case to Bhopal’s special court. The police arrested Akash on Wednesday for thrashing a Municipal Corporation officer who had come for an anti-encroachment drive in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. After an FIR was registered against Akash at MG Road police station in Indore under IPC section 353, 294, 506, 147, 148 the police arrested him. He was produced before the district court after his arrest. He applied for bail but the court rejected his bail plea and sent him to judicial custody until July 7. The FIR prepared by the police clearly mention that Akash and some of his supporters attempted to stop the government officer who had come to demolish a building which was illegal, in Ganji Compound area of Indore and Akash later assaulted the officer with a cricket bat.]]>
