Mysuru City, Karnataka: As part of the Crime Prevention Month celebrations, officers and staff of Narasimharaja Police Station conducted a public awareness programme on 23.12.2025 near Shivaji Park, within the police station limits.
During the evening hours, the police team interacted with local residents and citizens who had gathered for their routine walks, creating awareness about the prevention of housebreaking, chain-snatching, and the growing threat of various cybercrimes. The officers educated the public on common crime patterns and shared practical tips to stay alert and safe.
Pamphlets were distributed highlighting the importance of promptly reporting cyber fraud through the 1930 Cyber Crime Helpline, and emergencies through the 112 Helpline. The initiative aimed to strengthen public awareness, encourage timely reporting, and enhance cooperation between citizens and the police.
The programme was well received by the public and reaffirmed the commitment of Narasimharaja Police towards proactive crime prevention and community safety.
