Tirupati: In Tirupati District, the police, through their Mobile Hunt service reachable at WhatsApp number 9490617873, have successfully recovered and returned 600 phones worth Rs.1,08,00,000/- in phase-7. Across seven phases, a total of 2,230 phones valued at Rs.4,01,40,000/- have been recovered and returned to their owners. Additionally, in Eluru district, a toll-free number (9550351100) is provided for the public to report lost or stolen mobile phones. In response to complaints received between September and October, the police recovered and returned 147 phones worth Rs.28,66,500/-. Over ten phases, a total of 1,325 phones valued at Rs.2,71,19,684/- have been successfully recovered. DGP Mr. K.V Rajendranath Reddy IPS has commended the exemplary efforts of Tirupati Police and Eluru district police in the recovery of mobile phones.
